Organizing photos is an art – especially if you belong to the group of people that are constantly clicking away with their smartphone camera. Scene wants to bring order to your personal photo shop. The app features a minimalist design, making it much easier to concentrate on sorting and managing images – rather than getting sidetracked by overwhelming graphics.

Scene is able to display photos either by date or album. A sync option is included as well, letting you exhibit your photo library on several devices simultaneously. You carefully have to consider whether you agree with the basic principle of the app: When opening an account and uploading private photos, you do need to trust the server, since you generously place your personal images in his hands. Scene also offers the option to simply share your albums. However, for that too, an upload to the server is required.

Conclusion:
Scene is a tasteful photo browser with lots of selection options. Managing and sharing images is more than easy. Before you get going, a video tutorial presents you with an overview of the app – which can be recommended without hesitation. Only if you establish your own account or plan to share entire albums, do you need to synch via the Scene server.

Plus/Minus:
+ Great design
+ Intuitive control
+ Introductory tutorial
– Could use additional sort functions
