Marvel is probably the largest comic book publisher in the United States and has been in business for decades. The company releases the newest adventures of Spider-Man, Iron Man and other superheroes. The treasured comic books are now being scanned and prepared for the digital world.
Marvel has its own app for collectors, which makes it possible to buy comic books individually and download them to the iPhone and iPad. The only alternative was, so far, an online option. Fans paid “Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited” an annual fee that let them read thousands of comics online – without having to download them.
Now the subscription system has been advanced to the next level. It is called “Marvel Unlimited” and features its own universal app. A fee-based subscription allows the user access to the scanned comics, even when on the road. A maximum of six comics may be downloaded that will be available offline as well. Lots of free comics ensure that even users, which have not yet signed up for a yearly membership, can enjoy the publications.
